Singapore

A soundtrack to Singapore: where tropical warmth meets city lights. 🌿

Singapore is a place I experience through layers of intimacy, energy, and constant renewal. It has been home for over a decade, a place where life unfolds between family, creativity, and quiet rituals that shape each collection. Since April 2016, Bohème by Véro has been rooted here, growing alongside the rhythm of the city.

It is where my family gathers, where friends come together for long dinners that stretch into the night, and where many of our creations begin their journey before travelling across the world. Despite its scale, Singapore holds an endless capacity to inspire, revealing something new each time you look closer.

Claudine, in Dempsey Hill, remains my most cherished address. Set within a beautifully restored chapel, it captures a sense of timeless elegance while feeling deeply warm and alive. Julien Royer and Agnès have created more than a restaurant, it is a place of emotion, where French refinement meets genuine hospitality.

For moments shared with family, Marina Bay Sands offers a different kind of energy. The skyline, the movement, the light, everything feels vibrant and celebratory. It is a place where evenings unfold effortlessly, especially with younger energy around.

For a more rooted experience, the Singapore Cricket Club brings you back to the city’s heritage. Overlooking the Padang, it offers a slower rhythm, where local flavours are enjoyed in a setting that feels both historic and relaxed.

No exploration of Singapore would be complete without Lau Pa Sat. Beneath its striking Victorian structure, the city’s culinary soul comes alive. The scents, the sounds, the diversity of flavours create an atmosphere that is both vibrant and deeply authentic.

Evenings in Singapore can take on many moods. For something intimate and serene, Raffles Sentosa offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by lush greenery. Monti, overlooking Marina Bay, captures the magic of the city as it transitions into night, when lights begin to shimmer across the water. KŌBE brings a newer, contemporary energy, with a refined yet lively atmosphere. Odette, set within the National Gallery, remains an essential experience, where precision and creativity elevate French cuisine into something truly memorable.

Shopping in Singapore reflects its creative diversity. Design Orchard is a celebration of local talent, where emerging designers express a strong and modern identity. Tanglin Mall offers a softer, more leisurely experience, with curated boutiques and quiet corners that invite you to linger.

Nature is never far. The Botanic Gardens have always been a personal source of inspiration. The textures of bamboo, the presence of tropical birds, and the delicate complexity of orchids echo throughout Bohème by Véro collections. Singapore holds a rare balance between urban life and natural beauty, where green spaces are not escapes but an integral part of daily life.

Beyond the city, Sentosa offers a shift in perspective, with beaches and open horizons. The Southern Islands reveal an even quieter side, where the pace slows and the landscape becomes almost meditative. Back in Marina Bay, a simple walk along the waterfront or an afternoon between museums and architecture becomes its own kind of ritual.

One of the most personal experiences I return to is Maison 21G, where scent becomes storytelling. Creating bespoke fragrances for each collection adds an invisible layer to our universe, something deeply intimate and sensory.

In August, Singapore reveals another dimension. National Day transforms the city into a collective celebration of identity, with fireworks, light, and an energy that feels both powerful and unifying. Watching the skyline illuminate over Marina Bay remains one of those moments that never loses its magic.

Singapore continues to surprise me. It is modern yet deeply connected to nature, international yet strongly rooted in its identity. After all these years, it remains not just a home, but an ongoing source of inspiration that quietly shapes everything we create.
