Véro’s Sydney: Family, Fashion & the Harbour

Sydney has a very special place in my heart because this is where my second daughter, Léa, lives. I visit often, and every time I come back, I fall in love with the city all over again.

Sydney has also been an important chapter in the Bohème by Véro story.

In May 2023, I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Youssef Akbar for Australian Fashion Week, creating all the jewellery for his show. It was an extraordinary presentation, with beautiful international coverage, and it became a real stepping stone for Bohème.

Following that collaboration, Sharon Stone wore our Orchid brooch, and later chose my long earrings when I presented the collection in New York. More beautiful moments followed, and this collaboration opened an entirely new chapter for the brand.

Sydney — Harbour, Fashion & Good Energy

What I love about Sydney is the combination of fashion, nature and an incredible sense of freedom.

You can spend the morning walking along the harbour, have lunch by the water, jump on a boat in the afternoon and end the day with cocktails overlooking the city.

For a classic Sydney experience, take a boat across the harbour. The ferries are wonderful, but you can also rent a private boat or charter for the day and explore the harbour at your own rhythm.

Eat by the Water

One of my favourite French addresses is L’Héritage, in Mosman. Set right on Chowder Bay, it combines French food with beautiful harbour views, and it has that intimate, romantic atmosphere that I love. (L’Heritage)

For something completely Sydney, Como Italian at The Rocks is wonderful. Sitting between the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, it is perfect for a long Italian lunch that turns into sunset drinks. (Como Italian Restaurant)

Drinks & Nights Out

Sydney has an incredible bar scene, and for me, the best places are those where you can dress up a little, listen to great music and still feel completely relaxed.

Opera Bar is an absolute classic for its harbour views and unbeatable Sydney setting.

For something more sophisticated, Maybe Sammy is one of the city’s great cocktail bars.

And for a more design-led night, Kiln at Ace Hotel Sydney combines extraordinary city views with a creative, contemporary atmosphere. (Time Out Worldwide)

Where I Stay

For the Bohème mood, Ace Hotel Sydney is one of my favourites. It has that creative, slightly eclectic energy that feels much more personal than a conventional luxury hotel.

Capella Sydney is another beautiful choice when you want something more elegant. The architecture, Australian art and attention to detail make it a very special place to stay — and McRae Bar is beautiful for an evening drink. (Sydney)

And for a beachside escape, Sydney’s coastline gives you endless possibilities.

Shopping & Bohème

Sydney has an incredible independent fashion scene, particularly around Paddington, Woollahra and the city centre. The Intersection in Paddington is home to many of Australia’s leading designers, while the Strand Arcade brings together some of the city’s most beautiful independent labels. (Sydney)

For Bohème, I particularly love the spirit of Incu — contemporary, international and design-led, with a mix of established and emerging labels.

Tuchuzy in Bondi is another natural fit for the Bohème woman: fashion, beach culture and an effortless Australian attitude.

And The Intersection in Paddington is exactly the kind of neighbourhood where I love to wander, discover Australian designers and find something unexpected.

Bohème in Sydney

We are incredibly proud to announce our collaboration with Belinda Chapple, together with the Bardo Group, one of Australia’s most successful and recognised fashion and lifestyle groups.

This is a very exciting new chapter for Bohème by Véro.

So watch this space — Bohème is coming to Sydney with a launch planned for late October 2026.

Sydney has already given us so many beautiful memories, from Australian Fashion Week to Sharon Stone wearing our jewellery.

Now it is time to make some new ones.

Sydney is family, fashion, the ocean, creativity and freedom — and I cannot wait to bring even more of Bohème to this incredible city.
